Some facts you probably didnt know about 'Over Spilt Nescafè'

So I just wanted to do a random fun facts about 'Over Spilt Nescafè' cuz i finished it last night!!! Woohooo!

.1. I was inspired to write the story by an actual scene that took place where a blonde boy spills nescafè on some people. Read the full story here.
.2. It was initially meant to be a romance novel but by the end of chapter one I realized I sucked at it.
.3. Simon wasn't even involved until I thought that it would be too obvious if I made Alvin as the one in the wolf costume.
.4. Ecaria's and Orla's name were inspired by their foodie nicknames. It was initially Eclairs and Orange but I later changed it to Donut and Oreo. I have no clue if those names actually exist.
.5. I had no plans of involving Kavindi until I was quarterly into the book.
.6. Initially it was only Natalie who was bipolar but then halfway through the book I decided that Nathan should have it too.
.7. All the fashion and makeup stuff that I have written about are mostly inspired by my friends cuz I am a clueless tomboy.
.8. The title was initially going to be 'it all started with a Nescafè' since that's how Nat meets Alvin and it was going to be a love story and all but then I changed it to 'Over Spilt Nescafè' cuz the storyline changed and all.
.9. It is the ninth novel that I have finished so far and is my longest yet.
.10. Natalie's and Nathan's relationship is inspired by the fact that I have always wanted to have an elder bro.
.11. I have had several ending ideas for this book, most of them rejected due to it being too cliche or not accepted by my friends.
.12. Natalie was supposed to die but killing the main character was too idk not likely.
.13. Alvin was either supposed to die of a car crash or leave back to new Zealand due to problems with his sister both of which were not accepted by my friends.
.14. Alvin and Natalie end up having a brother - sister relationship was one of my fave endings but many of my readers had already shipped them together so i thought why not make them fall in love instead and so #natvin was born.
.15. This story takes place in a small town called Vervain (not real) in a country called Sri Lanka (real).
.16. Natalie initially wore contacts but I changed it to her hating them because she just couldn't be bothered with it ;) .
.17. Natalie's favourite colour is the rainbow but as she grew up she came to love the colour black even more.
.18. Alvin was supposed to be the 'knight in shining armour' goody two shoes prince kinda guy but let's face it, they are not real at all.
.19. This story takes place between August 2014 - September 2017
.20. Natalie's harry potter house is Ravenclaw.
.21. Orla was also supposed to be in the dance class but I later cut her off.
.22. I took almost two years to complete this novel. 22nd April 2014 - 27th March 2016.
.23. Chapter 38 i.e. Natalie's date chapter aka Over Mission Phoenix was the longest chapter I have ever written with over 6k words.
.24. The chapters weren't meant to have any titles until I decided to post the story on wattpad.
.25. This was the first story that I had the courage of posting on wattpad nd not removing it later on. #noregretswhatsoever
.26. The longest gap that I have ever left my readers waiting is for three months due to my O/L exams.
.27. Ecaria was supposed to leave the 'foodie gang' due to a fight.
.28. There was supposed to be a little bit of Naala + Thomas things going around ;) your awesome if you remember who Thomas is.
.29. Theo was supposed to be a bad person but I loved him too much to make him that way.
.30. Leon didn't even exist before.
.31. The novel (unedited) is over a 100,000 words O_O
.32. It has over 16k views and 2.2k votes on wattpad now (19.06.16)
.33. I finished this book on wattpad on 18.06.16
.34. I started it on wattpad on 22.10.14 and two years later, its over finally.
.35. Initially they were all fifteen and sixteen year olds but later changed to seventeen year olds. (Dunno why I wanted to mention this)
.36. Natalie's and Alvin's fathers were supposed to be workoholics and there was a part where natalie goes to Al's home to help him out. For some weird reason this never made it to the story.
.37. It was supposed to be mostly family related things but somehow or the other Alvin played a big role in the story.
.38. Alvin was initially a person who never read books but then I realized if I were to make him a script writer I would have to make him read books.
.39. Leon buying Natalie a story book was inspired by a post I saw online about where guys should buy girls books instead of roses and chocolates.
.40. In the memory chapter where Nathan cuts Natalie and he says about the 'over spilt Nescafè' bit. That twist wasn't initially planned and came to my when I started writing the memory chapters.
.41. Alvin's initial backstory was that his sister had AHS.
.42. I wanted to write a part where Natalie's gets pregnant and gets a boy child but later scrapped it off.
.43. The story was supposed to take place from august 2014 till July 2015 but I kinda ran out of ideas and the novel was already very long so I stopped it at march 2015 and had the 2 and a half years later chapter.
.44. Alvin wasn't really supposed to come in the last chapter but I dunno why I just put him there later on. I think it was all those death threats that made me do it. ;p
