11 Days of Halal Dating

Hey peeps today's post is a review of a book I read on Wattpad and it’s my first Islamic fictional novel that I’ve read, other than the Islamic novel that I’ve written of course, and can I just say that it was at first chapter!

My rating :

5.5/5 (yes I did just give it an off the chart rating :p)

Sypnosis :

As a Muslimah, for Tammara the word 'love' always came after the word 'halal'.

She used to often see girls dating guys before marriage and she knew she would never be in their place since the site itself ignited the haraam police in her mind.

So after going through something she wasn't quite accepting of, she gets fixed with a man who she had never in the wildest of dreams thought would be her husband.

Put these two together and give them their period of halal dates (What that is, we'll figure out in the story) and you have Eleven days of Halal Dating just a click away.

A story that promotes and teaches love, the halal way, as the right and contemporary thing to choose.

Review :

This was a spiritually uplifting according to me. I learnt quite a few new things about my religion from this book and one of my faves was the fact that at the beginning of every chapter where usually the author puts a quote, she wrote in a hadees or a Quranic verse relating to the chapter.

The story revolves around a young Muslim girl, Tammara, who is at an age to marry. So she gets engaged to this guy Sufyan and the story goes on, I can’t really say anything beyond this point because then I would spoiling many a things for you guys.
The writing style is quite simple and the story is very easy to understand. Character development is very god according to me because in the book Tammara is thrown into quite a few challenges and we can see her changing and evolving after each problem that she comes across.
It was also a story where you just cannot stop giggling. i have no idea why but it was definitely a story where my mama kept wondering why i was smiling at the phone screen much too often. she did have her suspicions but of course once she found out it was just a book, she just shook her head and left.
I find the characters relatable either because they Indian and some of the things they do as a Sri Lankan, which is quite close to India, I can relate to and maybe also because of the fact that the characters are Muslim as well. But I think non Muslims will also enjoy this story because it does have some thoughts to reflect about, a little bit of romance (halal love of course) and lessons to learn.

I definitely learnt a lot from this novel and her other books are amazing too. I will link Sarah’s wattpad profile and the story so that you guys can go check it out and see what I am talking about.

Hope you enjoyed this review and go give this book a read.

Take care bears
Till next time
=)Sammy
