Ten Years Since The Terrible Wave O_O
OMG!! I am such an idiot!! How could I forget that today marks the ten year annivrsary of that terrible tsunami that hit Sri Lanka and other countries in 2004. I only remembered after watching tonights news. Am.such a great citizen!
The earthquake was 9.0 magnitude and hit many countries from Thailand (where the earthquake and tsunami originated from) till East Africa.
I was probably 5 when the tsunami occured and I was nowhere near the coastalbareas when it happened. I along with my family was in Kandy as it was the holidays and we had.gone there to stay for the holidays.
This day is dedicated especially to remember all those who suffered the consequences of the tsunami. I think this tsunami hit us 150 yeas after the previous one so it was a pretty big shock to everyone.
A big tribute to all those who past away because of this Terrible Tidal Wave and also to those who are living but have suffered the after effects of this.
