Roaming Colombo
Hello And A Very Late Merry Christmas To Those Celebrating It.
So I have been busy the past few days. My cousins came and we went roaming Colombo and visiting other relations. There were also a couple of functions as one of my cousins was getting married. Barely had time to read and write except for in the middle of the night. I have to also start studying cuz my exams are coming up. O.W.Ls (Get the Harry Potter reference here ;))
So roaming Colombo is a lovely thing that I enjoy especially at night since all the shops and places will be brightly lit. But since it is Christmas everthing is so much prettier and brighter. Lovely fairy lights hanging on almost every tree and all homes having colourful bulbs and baubles decorating their homes. There is this happy atmosphere surrounding everyone with it all being so bright and cheerful. Colombo is so beautiful at night and yes sometimes I do prefer the countryside with its wonderful views and peaceful atmosphere. But being brought up here all my life (Was born in a countryside area) I have started to appreciate the city as well.
It's big buildings, attracting shops, scrumptious restaurants and many more have made me happy in many ways. I have fallen in love with this city although sometimes I do dislike it for particular reasons.
I have so many dreams of visiting many other grand cities (Insha Allah) like New York, Paris, Tokyo, Rome, Auckland, London, Chicago, Singapore (Love this country want to visit again), Bejieng (Hope the spelling is correct) and many more.
