Ed Kennedy is an underage cabdriver without much of a future. He's pathetic at playing cards, hopelessly in love with his best friend, Audrey, and utterly devoted to his coffee-drinking dog, the Doorman. His life is one of peaceful routine and incompetence until he inadvertently stops a bank robbery.
That's when the first ace arrives in the mail.
That's when Ed becomes the messenger.
Chosen to care, he makes his way through town helping and hurting (when necessary) until only one question remains: Who's behind Ed's mission?

Review :
It wasnt really what I expected. I thought it would be something about a guy who is a messenger to between bad people and good people. but instead he gets messages to go help people. show them some kindness. help them realize what needs to be done.
i loved the writing style of this book. it was very simple and quite easy to understand with the dramatic short sentences and all. although there were parts that i dint really enjoy in the book like Ed's obsession with women and Audrey (you'll get it once you read the book).
but my absolute favourite about this whole book was the message. (slight spoiler here. nothing big though) Ed Kennedy, although an ordinary cab driver, could do so much to twelve people. He changed the lives of twelve people for the better. There was no spiderman or superman. No one was bitten by a radioactive spider or super duper rich enough to make their own weapons. He was someone like us. and he made a difference.
Although this book cannot compare to his other work 'The Book Thief' (absolutely loved that one) it was still a good read.
