The positives of my mid semester break
Thankfully we got a week break from college (probably because of graduation coming up and so preps and stuff). I very much wanted this break because it’s Ramadan and I am fasting and so it’s tough to go to college. I thought I would put this break week to good use and catch up and do a lot of things but instead I wasted it. Again.
I am so frustrated with myself for doing this because it wasn’t even the good wasting I just day dreamed like two thirds of the week and slept the other one third, honestly. And so to satisfy my frustrated mind I decided to look back and count all the positive things I did this week and hopefully there is lot.
1/ I made pizza on my own for the first time ever!! It wasn’t as amazing as mama’s (obviously) but I am happy with how it turned out 😊
2/ I finished my Eid shopping!! We are usually last minute shoppers and I hate it (I already hate shopping in general) because it gets so crowded during the last few days but this time I am done!! Woot Woot!! 🙌
3/ I was blessed enough to have iftar at two restaurants. One at Indian Summer (didn’t really enjoy it though because they served the food half an hour late and it wasn’t all that great. That rhymed hehe) an then at Arabian Knights (Ah loved it!! One of my favourite restaurant ever!!).
4/ I finished the proposal bit and forming bit of my research assignment.
4/ I did my social psychology writing homework.
5 I did one third of the developmental psychology notes…. Of the first lecture only but still 😊
6/ I taught my brother geography!! (yes this is important) it was for his exam. Hopefully he’ll do his best.
7/ I wrote 900 odd words in NERDS. Not much but
still I wrote after ages so I am happy.
8/ I wrote three blog posts this week as well and posted them!!
9/ I am taking part in a June photography challenge so I took quite a few creative (??) pictures and edited them. (Dont forget to follow me on Instagram)
10/ I lost one kilo!!
11/ I went to pray taraweeh at the mosque. I haven’t gone to the mosque to pray in ages because I am usually too scared and nervous. But this time I was like let’s dot it for Allah’s sake and I was happy that I did go.
12/ learned how to make origami paper cranes.
13/ organised my pinterest boards (I don’t know but this made me happy okay)
And there we go. All the positives among the negative things I did this week. How was your week?
With love,
P.S. all pictures in this post are my own.
