Coffee Book Tag

Hello.

For today's post I thought of doing a tag that I saw on YouTube quite a while back. And it is the coffee book tag! Yay! ;)

Black : name a series that's tough to get into but has hard core fans

The Mortal Instruments // Cassandra Clare

I do not know why I just cannot continue with this series. I read the first book and it was good. I do like the whole Shadow Hunter concept and their world is quite interesting but halfway through the second book I just gave up. I don't know whether it was because of a reading slump or whether it was because I simply didn't like how the story was going. I have heard great thins about this series and the author's writing style itself. Maybe I would give it a try again soon or maybe I would try another one of her books.

Peppermint mocha : name a book that gets more popular during winter or festive time of the year

Harry Potter series // J.K.Rowling

For some strange reason Harry Potter, although one of the most popular series all year round, during Christmas or even when the season changes from summer to autumn it gets super popular. Like you can see on Instagram a ton of people post Harry Potter related pictures. It could be because Hogwarts starts on September or I don't really know. But it sure is popular during the second half of the year.

Hot chocolate : what is your favourite children's book.

Matilda // Roald Dahl

I love it because the main character, Matilda, is an avid reader, like me :)
And its just I love all Roald Dahl books and this just tops the list.

Double shot of espresso :  name a book that kept you on the edges of your seat from start to finish

Five Greatest Warriors // Matthew Reilly

Matthew Reilly's books always keeps me in the edge from the start to finish but this book took that feeling to a whole new level. I am a huge fan of action and adventure and this was amazing! It was a perfect finish to the trilogy.

Starbucks : name a book you see everywhere

Lately it's 'Six Of Crows' by Leigh Bardugo.

Its insane that I see a lot of people I know and don't know owning this book! And honestly I want to own it too! Can't wait until my exams are over to go binge book shopping.

That hipster coffee shop : give a book by an indie author a shout out

Something More // Najaha Nauf

I havent really read any self published books as of yet (weirdly enough i have self published a book) but i do know someone who is going to self publish a book . I dont know how her plans are now but a coupke of months ago she told me that she gave her manuscript to publish. Sooooo me being one of the lucky ones to read it before it is published i definitely recommend this book. It is currently available on wattpad.  for some weird reason i cant link it so do check her book out on WATTPAD. And i do hope she publishes it soon cuz i cant wait to own a physical copy ❤

Oops! I accidentally got a decaf : name a book you were expecting more from

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child // John Tiffany & Jack Thorns

This is that one book that totally disappointed me. I couldn't believe that the story ended up the way it is now. I mean the Harry Potter series was absolutely wonderful and then this book was like aaarrgghhh!
I still remember begging my Dada to pre order the book but I wasn't allowed but on the day it was released my dad got it for me (after I begged him so much of course)
He told me that the reviews online weren't that good but still I was adamant. Sigh well what can you do. But I am pretty sure that no matter what if there is any book released based on the Harry Potter series I will buy it :)

Perfect blend : name a book or series that was both bittersweet but ultimately satisfying

Alex Rider series // Anthony Horowitz

It was amazing series that I had been reading for the past four years and I finally finished it last year. It was an amazing book and I actually expected a happy ending you know like a proper happily ever after kinda ending but I guess you don't always get those especially if you are a spy. So I think that this suits the 'both bittersweet but ultimately satisfying' part.

And that is it for the tag. And since we are talking about coffee what is your go to coffee? Mind's definitely black or hot chocolate :)

Take care
=)❤sammy
